ABOUT THE SLORDES

Husband and wife Colin Slattery and Dianne Forde share a a love of science fiction and fantasy and this can be seen in their whimsical clay and mixed media pieces.  Sleepy dragons and rat truckers; singing birds and fish; and Creepy Peeps - strange little people - are among their fanciful clay creations.​

 

Dianne Forde - claywork, pottery, drawing, story telling and mixed media showing a playful view of fantastical characters expressed in fascinating form and colour. Behind the works there is a story being told of journeys and discovery.  Dianne brings a love of the English language and story telling together with sculptures that bring those stories to life.  Each Creep Peep sculpture comes with its own unique story, from lost sailors to undertakers with a sense of humour.

 

​Colin Slattery - claywork and mixed media creating whimsical clay sculptures beyond the ordinary.  Drawing on a varied career Colin’s journey has taken him from early days of Industrial Arts, Graphic Design, designing and mounting exhibitions and displays around the world, to a lifetime commitment to making a contribution to the place in which we live.  More recently he has discovered the joys of clay sculpture and the calmness of mind it brings​
