World of Creepy Peeps

Creepy Peeps are strange little people who come in all different shapes and small sizes. They may look very different from us, but when you get to know them, you’ll find that they are not really so different.

Do you know what the collective noun for a group of Creepy Peeps is? Could it be a “Cuteness of Creepy Peeps”? Or perhaps, a “Ghastliness of Creepy Peeps”? I don’t know either, but I suppose it depends on whether you see them as cute or ghastly. I think they are a bit of both.
A few Creepy Peeps have gathered to meet you and want me to introduce them. Before I do, just a quick explanation on how their names are pronounced. CPs don’t use a lot of vowels; they think it’s more fun to let others fill in the missing vowel. So, if you see a name written as Mrtn, it could be pronounced Martin or then again Morten. They think it’s more fun that way.
Here they are.

MRLA
Mrla loves to let her hair down and party. She’s friendly and sociable and very kind-hearted. You will always enjoy yourself in Mrla’s company.

BSTR
Bster says he is just a regular guy. He likes hanging with his friends and “shooting the breeze”. He really isn’t interested in getting too involved with anything. He may look a bit tough, but he wants you to know that he loves cats – and anyone who loves cats can’t be too tough!

MRTL
Mrtl is the village milliner and is a very good one at tha!. She collects interesting nuts from which she makes whimsical or useful hats. See, she has just found an acorn and is on her way to her studio to make it into a new hat. She stopped to meet you in case you were interested in acquiring one of her one-off designs.

JMMY
Jmmy loves to sing and perform and is trying to form a barbershop quartet. So far, he hasn’t found any other like-minded people, so his quartet only comprises one – himself. He is sure the performances of his quartet would be much better if only he could find 3 more peeps to join him. He remains optimistic and continues to practice and perform every chance he gets.

NLLY
Nlly is the town mayor. It sounds very important and Nlly certainly takes her job very seriously, but sometimes she feels that the role is more ceremonial than an actual job as the little town runs along quite smoothly without her involvement. Still, she aims to keep up appearances and fulfil her role to be the best mayor ever.

BRNY
Brny teaches at the high school, but he dreams of coaching the town’s footy team to success. Unfortunately, he hasn’t managed to get a team going as all the young people seem to be more interested in “shooting the breeze”, whatever that is. Dream on Brny.

LTTY
Ltty just wishes the boys would stop “shooting the breeze” and pay her some attention. She is always beautifully dressed and wears smart hats made by Mrtl. While she has stopped to meet you, it’s mainly because Bstr is close by and she is hoping he notices her in her lovely blue dress.

JNET
Jnet worries that she is going to end up with severe neck problems as, being so short, she is constantly tilting her head back to talk to other peeps. The only time she can have an eye-to-eye conversation is with children. This may be one reason why she became a primary school teacher as she can spend most of the day, either looking slightly down or straight ahead, without any stress on her neck. The kids all love having her as their teacher as they feel she is almost one of them.

THMS
Thms loves to play dress-up, but then, he is only a child (look, he is almost as tall as his teacher!). Today Thms is wearing an angel costume he has made from a raincoat. He is finding having his arms inside his costume a little restrictive, but it is keeping him out of trouble. Thms doesn’t like to be “pegged”.

GSPR
Gspr is certainly an armless little chap! He would like to wave to you but instead, he is nodding his head.
